Manning Family

Updated: Aug 16

Adoption has long held a place in both of our hearts throughout different seasons of our lives. As educators, our hearts are geared towards children. We love our students and players more than we can express. We often encounter children in need of emotional, spiritual, or even physical support and have a strong desire to help when we are able to.

The defining moment in our adoption journey came in the summer of 2017. We traveled to Costa Rica for a mission trip and hosted a three day basketball camp for the area youth. That's where we met Bryan. There was an instant connection and our hearts fell in love with a boy we had just met. After lots of goodbye tears, we traveled home and have not stopped praying over Bryan and his life. Through this experience God revealed how much we could love a child that was not biologically our own.

Meeting Bryan was a promise for our calling. Our future family may look different from most, our child will not look like us, but we are positive our relationship will carry the same abundant love as any other family.
