We are Maddie and Cory, high school sweethearts raising our family on a little homestead with a lot of animals and even more love. Cory has traveled the world playing golf professionally and now stepped into coaching college level golf, and Maddie spends her days advocating for kids in the child welfare system. Loving and serving children in need, whether through church or camps or missions, has been a priority of ours since we started dating.
In high school we even had conversations about adoption and how we felt that was something we wanted for our family someday (if we got married, which thankfully worked out great!!). Shortly after our wedding, we started dreaming about what our family would look like someday. In 2019 we became licensed foster parents and welcomed home our daughter, Sophie, who joined our family forever early 2020. She is the biggest blessing beyond what we could have even prayed for or imagined. We were able to love four more children in foster care before giving birth to our son, Fisher, who has been making us laugh nonstop since the day he was born.
Our family is our greatest joy, and we feel that the most important work we do is within the walls of our own home. We love that we get to live life joyfully with our children, laughing together and finding things to make them smile, and teaching them about how to be good and kind humans. It's the best job ever! We are confident that in this season God has called us to step out in faith and grow our family again through adoption.
We know that our family can be a safe place for kids and families in need, and we can't wait to meet baby Churchman #3!
